In addition to the percentage of our budget devoted to the mission work of the United Methodist Church around the world (called "apportionments"), our church has a covenant partner relationship with one of our church missionaries, Patrick Booth. With a background in counseling, Patrick serves as the co-director of Project ARK (Advancing Resilient Kmher) in Cambodia, tackling human trafficking by restoring dignity and livelihood through the construction trade and quality, affordable housing. As a missionary with ARK, Patrick's task is to work with the Methodist Church in Cambodia and other partner agencies to provide leadership and supervision to the endeavor. "The church continues to be a cornerstone of my faith," Patrick says, "where I find God's presence is in service missions and in the hearts of new believers. I seek only to serve others in Christ's name, because experience has proven this to be my greatest joy."
