Lisa is a proud single mom to two wonderful teenage daughters, and together they call Lewisville, North Carolina, home. She is a former preschool teacher at LUMC, where she spent many meaningful years nurturing & teaching our church and communities youngest children.

Lisa is an active member of Mount Tabor United Methodist Church, where she serves on the Children’s Council, the Lay Leadership Committee, and volunteers with Vacation Bible School. She is passionate about helping children and families grow in their faith and feels blessed to serve alongside such a caring church community.

When she’s not at church, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, savoring an early morning cup of coffee, finding any excuse to eat Mexican food, and escaping to the beach whenever she can.

One of Lisa’s favorite devotionals is Midnight Mom Devotionals, and her favorite Bible passage is Proverbs 3:5–6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

This verse has become a guiding truth throughout her faith journey. Trusting God has been one of the most important lessons she continues to learn. Life brings both joyful moments and unexpected challenges, and there are certainly times when uncertainty and anxiety can creep in. Yet Scripture continually reminds us to place our trust in the Lord, knowing that He is always present—guiding our steps, holding our lives together, and faithfully working out His perfect plan. Through every season, Lisa finds comfort and hope in the promise that trusting God gives us the courage to face whatever lies ahead, confident that He is always with us.
